When I was young, I too lusted for either a Berk or a Crosley Hot Shot. Years
later, I finally came across a Berk and got it for free. It was a three wheel
T-60 model and was powered by a BSA 500cc motor. I'm not sure it was the
original motor, I think the original had been a smaller motor. I tried to
engineer everything I could come up with to try and turn it into a four
wheeler, but could never come up with anything that was going to work right.
I parked it behind the house when I went to Vietnam, and when I came back, I
found that my wonderful "X" had it trucked off as scrap. Check out
http://home.clara.net/peterfrost/berkeley.html for a lot of good info on the
Berks.
