In 1953 I built a 34 Ford 2dr. and mounted a Buick straight
8 25% back to run altered class, the driveshaft was about 6" long, And the
driver sat against the back window. The engine owner Gerold Snyder joined the
army, so I gave the car to my friends who put a 270 GMC 6 in it they one 31
straight races! Back in the days when inovation was allowed! Later when out,
Gerold instaled a Nailhead with a dynaflow in a 55 chev. and won a lot of
street races. A couple years ago he stopped by driving a 10sec. Grand
National! Ya learn from all of this! Jack
