wouldn't have done any good to have any (paid) FIA people there-- they
didn't have any SCTA volunteers to prepare the course, inspect the vehicle,
or set-up and conduct the timing. No REAL Landspeed Record.
But if they had "Red Flame" there to serve the pancakes, sausage, and
coffee-- it might have been worth going to see, anyway!
