The good news, my 1968 250 Sprint (M/PG-250) ran an 82.37 it's first trip
down the track.
The bad news, "I" didn't get to ride it! WAAAAAAA
Seems my mechanic (partner/boyfriend) doesn't understand that mechanics WORK
on the bike, Pilots RIDE the bike. I think after the LONG 8 hour ride home in
the truck that I've managed to BEAT that point into his head! hehehehehe
Just kidding - he's forgiven! Had it not rained I would have been out there
Sunday. We'll just work on getting it to start a little easier & be back next
month! (Nothing like working for ten minutes trying to kick start a bike with
full race gear on in the blazin sun. Not my idea of fun!)
The banquet was a blast as usual! The ECTA Volunteer hat was right on time
for the soggy sunday and the Can of Woop Ass vehicle was worth the trip to
Maxton just to see! Now if someone has a nice picture of it I'd love to get
it out on the ECTA site. My plans for the Sunday photo ops were foiled by the
rain!
It rained like hell Sunday, it was cold breakin down camp but you just
couldn't help but laugh at John "papa smurf" Beckett in his Smurf Blue
poncho. I wouldn't have believed it if you would have told me I could have
fun getting soaked & freezin my fingers to the bone but somehow we managed to
pull out of there with a smile in our hearts & feeling fullfilled by a great
weekend.
Look out April!
S-Murf-ette
I WILL be first in line in April! hehehehe
