Hey Keith
We just got back from the Don Garlits museum of drag racing after delivering
the world's fastest flathead (1988-1996 until Jack took our record) . I
sold it to Garlits for display in the museum. The Swamp Rat XXX Bonneville
car was on display along with the other Swamp Rats. It also had a pretty
good explanation of Bonneville and his trip to the salt. The museum was
GREAT. Many of the cars that shaped drag racing were there. It was made
clear that drag racing was an offshoot of landspeed racing on the dry lakes.
I hated to part with the old Flathead but the museum is a good place for it.
