Nigel;
My theory is that if you have a deep enough wet sump pan, all those other
heroic measures are not really necessary.

Subject: Oil Pans
List,
Now that we've got past electric oil pumps and steam powered kanuta
valves, what's the good oil on oil pans, wet and dry sump.
Some theories suggest just a BIG open box while others subscribe to
scrapers, screens, louvres, wing shaped crank counterweights. I even saw an
article somewhere with the pan sealed up against each main web to create
individual chambers within the pan.
Not really concerned with baffles and trap doors to much as G forces
don't
really have to be dealt with, just thinking of the best way of getting the
oil
away from the crank and back to the pan/tank.
Nigel S.......down in NZ where today it's hotter than a hornets
butt......kinda got that Wendover feel to it :-)
