The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum has the "ultimate" one engine, its a W-24
Allison--two V-12s on a single crankcase,3000+HP, it actually flew in an
experimental fighter about 1943?
The Curtiss Museum is a motorhead heaven and has his record-setting 1907
motorcycle ( "fastest man in the world",Daytona Beach, 136 MPH ). It has an
OHV V-8 that ran with no valve covers--maybe the surrounding oil fog reduced
wind resistance.
the museum is in Hammondsport,NY, about 20 miles west of Watkins Glen.
