In my tear drop red herring post I included a link to a site which
explains the raindrops shape.
http://www.eng.vt.edu/fluids/msc/my_pages/raindrops/raindrop.htm
This afternoon I decided to see who's page it was and see if there was
more to learn, so I edited the URL and went to
http://www.eng.vt.edu/fluids/msc/
Professor M.S. Cramer's Home Page
Turns out he's interested in the aerodynamics of cars! So I browsed
his Fluids Image Gallery and found...
Land Speed Racing
http://www.eng.vt.edu/fluids/msc/gallery/ss_cars/sscars.htm
He also discusses Vortex Flow, Shock Waves and a number of other
interestin phenomena.
Guess I made a round trip LSR to raindrops and back again.
