one of my anscestors-- Col. George Littlefield-- bought a herd of "poor"
cattle in Louisiana and drove them across Texas to his new ranch in Lincoln
County, New Mexico. Large "LFD" brand on the left side.
So many of those cattle dropped-out across West Texas that the cowboys used
to joke that "LFD" stood for "Left For Dead". True story.

As a matter of fact, there are a couple of counties in west Texas that are
bigger than Delaware - - but size doesn't matter - - - There's probably
more greenery growing in your back yard than there is in both those counties
