About once a year the members of the Gold Coast Roadsters and Racing Club are invited to Joe Mondello's shop. Last year Joe gave a talk cyrogenics and shaking of race parts, particularly on blocks. I forget the exact figures, but stress relieved blocks maintained round bores better. Of course a torqued bore plate was used to simulate the torque stress of a cylinder head. Heady stuff.
