There's a Mensa convention in Salt Lake this weekend.
One neighborhood wag grumped; "If they're so damn smart why are they holding
the convention here at this time of year? The skiing is marginal, it's too
cold to enjoy anything else outdoors, the Jazz are still trying to find out
if they can play together, college basketball is having pre-season games,
college football is over and downtown is busy with Christmas shoppers and
people looking at the lights on Temple Square. They couldn't have picked a
worse time to have a convention here."
Another replied; "They probably don't give a damn. Just intend on staying
inside and telling each other how smart they are."
