Freon is a brand name but it is commonly used to refer to any of many different compounds that are used as refrigerents. The one you washed parts with was probably R11 which is a liquid at atmospheric pressure and anything under about 75 degrees F. It is a great solvent but it is no longer legal to release any of them into the atmosphere. Glenn DrMayf <drmayf@teknett.com> wrote:Freon, the brand destroys ozone. Plus you might have to pressurize it, then blow it through a nozzle to reduce the temp. I used to buy fen by the 20 gallon container to clean parts. No not race car parts other secret parts. Not cold in its natural state.. mayf --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable.
