Curious as to why the skids would be ok. Remember that the X15 did not land
at 400 mph but at something under 200mph. And that was on dirt, not hard
salt. The air brake idea is a good one, if it can be located correctly. The
other email with the Dyna something bristles for landing gear. What would
that do to the salt? Might be a good idea, but needs some looking at by
those who go really fast.
