I WOULD THINK THAT THE VIBRATIONS ALONE DON'T ALLOW THE RIDER MUCH TIME TO
LOOK AT ANY INSTRUMENT
at any speed especally at the begining of the run. You need to sit in the
timing stand with me for a few years and observe these things even at speed.
Hell man Sam Wheeler went through a mile marker at well over 200 mph. Said,
steering and body english wouldn't bring it back on course without loosing
it and crashing, so he let it drift. The little liner split the mile marker
right down the middle, the photo cell went into the air intake in the nose,
the battery,well it's history. Sam got the chute out and stopped upright on
the course. Says something about shift lights and seat time being a critical
factor in any motorsport.
