Reference: Mickey and Trudy Thompson's murder case of March 16, 1988
Fourteen years, one month and two days after auto racing legend, Mickey
Thompson and his wife Trudy were gunned down outside their Bradbury Estates,
CA home, Michael Goodwin has been ordered to stand trial for the couple's
murder. He is charged with two counts of murder, conspiracy to commit
murder plus three special circumstances. Lying in wait, murder for
financial gain and multiple murders.
A Preliminary hearing was held in Orange County, Calif. Superior Court
beginning April 15 and was finalized April 18 with Judge Frank Briseno
declaring there was sufficient evidence to hold Goodwin over for trial.
Goodwin's arraignment is scheduled for April 30th, 9: a.m., Division 5,
Orange County Central Court, 700 Civic Center West, Santa Ana.
