headlight air inlet?

Ok with the ramblings lately about air inlets I need some thought about my
intentions. My TransAm has 2 nice rectangular openings in the front spoiler
that were for the optional fog lights. Since mine didn't come with the fog
lights can I use these as air inlets in Gas Coupe? I know it says no
headlight air inlets, but you never know till you ask.
