Jeep Grd. Cherokee with 318 v8 (not land-speed related)

Thanks to the many of you who responded for my plea for help.  There really 
are a lot of masters on the list.  It appears that the problem was weak 
ignition.   I replaced the dizzy cap and rotor, changed the fuel filter and 
fixed a vacuum leak.  The dizzy cap was pretty worn.
