Brian,
Actually my favorite car, Mercedes-Benz, has a much longer and more colorful
history than Ford.  It was also Hitler's choice of transportation.  Porsches
are ok as long as they are air cooled.

Adolf directly encouraged Ferdinand Porsche in the manufacture
of the "Peoples Car"...the Volks Wagon [purportedly after a study
of early Chrysler Airflow &  Lincoln Zephyr designs].

Other than that, I didn't know Adolf made any cars :)
