There was a 2.73 gear set as a corvette option from 69-75. I don't know
how many there is out there as you don't see them advertised. I was
looking at putting them in my 77 vette along with a richmond 5. I ended up
doing it the cheaper hard way, I use the muncie ( I know 77's didn't come
with a muncie ) and put 3.08's in for long trips and 3.70's for close to
home. I located a guy in the SF bay area who had a set he took out of his
car as it was slow off the line who was interested in selling them. If you
are interested I could search his e-mail address and let you know. I also
remember seeing something about one of the larger company's thinking about
making the 2.73 again due to it's possible use with the richmond 5.
