Hi Folks, more from Ron San Giovanni about the setup on his blown Ardun
'32 Ford roadster. Unfortunately, the LIst Server will delete the photo
attachment of the Allard, for those on the LS List. Cheers Bill

Hi Bill the intake I made dose not cover the valley area of the block. I used
a 3/8 thick piece of aluminum to cover the top of the block. At the back of
this plate I bolt the oil fill in the same area as the stock Ardun Valley
cover I have also added a PCV valve that threads directly into the valley
cover to help keep the crank pressures down when I open the engine up. My
heads have the water outlets at the front so all I had to do was make a
different water manifold for the pass side to clear the alternator mount. The
alternator doubles as the blower belt tensioner also. The way I set the
alternator if the blower should develop a problem I can add a shorter belt on
the alternator to the water pumps this way eliminating the blower and still
be able to drive the car. I used an early Ford truck double grove pulley from
the 1940 to 48 motors. With this pulley I can maintain the old look but at
the same time use two 5/8 inch wide belts so that the blower pulley dose not
slip. For the water pumps I used the early double grove pulleys that match
the Ford truck pulley. I mount them on to the late model Ford truck water
pumps from the 1949 to 53 motors. The only thing that has to be done to the
water pumps is to change the bearing shaft assembly with longer ones since
the pulley is now farther away from the water pump. Mike knew a guy that has
used these longer shafts so It made the pump change go easy. My blower intake
has tube runners that have flanges on them that bolt to the heads. This way I
use the regular intake gaskets. For a pop off valve I mounted the Scot blower
unit in the front wall of the intake. I have attached two more PICS one is of
the Allard the other is a side view of the blower set up hope they make it if
not I can try again later. RON
