Hey,
I was following this discussion and I think you may be on the right track.
We run a Hooters Pro Cup car and we adjust pinion angle both at the front of
the truck arms and by "wedging" the housing. Makes a big difference in bite
off the corners. I know we have most of the weight on the right rear at
that point, but it's the same principal. Good idea and I'm sure that you
will get more advice on this. Also, softening the springs is a good idea,
just be carefull of the "squat" factor - no Keith, not the pucker factor.
Lots of teams that I deal with run the big tracks and the drivers hate soft
springs. The car drops the rear and allows more air in the front. Makes
for an uncomfortable ride at speed. Anyway, good luck with the "loosness".
And as I tell our driver, "drive it in a little deeper, it'll stick".
