Bill, the most I have heard about Burns & Wright is from you!, but then I
dont move in 2 wheel circles....does that sound funny?.
I was aware of them but have never seen a detailed story anywhere.
My fellow Kiwi LSRer Chris Harris knows more & probably has some articles
on them.
A Legendary bloke who I and many others are aware of was Frank ......
blowed if I can remember his sirname, who went to Bonneville many times
with his highly modified 1923, I think, Indian in the sixties & seventies &
broke records.
He was well into his sixties...about 20 yrs older than the bike.
I think his speeds were in the 170mph region.
One story that typified him & us adaptable Kiwi's was when he cast a
piston in the salt & machined it up right there on the spot!.
I have his story here somewhere just cant find it now. Others will know for
sure.
