Over the weekend someone asked a question regarding building a new car. He
mentioned using a I-beam ford axle
that was drilled or lightened in the web area. In the past SCTA has rejected
to use of modified beam axles.

Anything like that has to be pre approved by the rules committee. I deleted
the persons e-mail address so hopefully he will get back to us and canasked
more questions regarding this matter.
