That actually makes more sense than I would like to admit. Our
(American) speed records are all venue orientated. If they weren't there
wouldn't be any other (or at least very few) records set except at
Bonneville. Venue records are why the majority of competitors come out to
race.
Jeez Dave now I may have to change my whole opinion of the value of the
FIA. Biggest problem I see is they have very few of the classes we have.
Don't think you'll find a D/FALT as an example.
