I picked up a copy of the Jan 2001 R&C yesterday to look at the Bonneville
article. Saw a picture of racing buddy Keith Young, kinda artsi/fartsi -
sort of a Louise type of shot, not a normal Keith picture. A couple of minor
errors in the photo captions but nothing to be concerned about. The shot of
Paul Beck's '32 on the cover was a complete surprise.
Must say I am impressed with the change in the magazine. The editor's
enthusiasm for Bonneville seems genuine and the publisher's stance toward
LSR appears very positive. I thought that when the Peterson/emap buyout
happened that we would lose our beloved magazines but, the recent issues of
Hot Rod and now R&C have proved me wrong.
I am going to send a positive email to David Freiburger, R&C editor, to
express my delight in the coverage and my hopes for extended coverage in the
future. I suggest those concerned do the same, how about Dick J?
