Help with Ford rear dimensions

I have an empty Ford 9" rear housing  that will have to be narrowed but
I don't have any axles on hand and need a measurement. I'm  hoping
someone on the list can give me the info. What I need is the measurement
from the face of the axle flange to the face of the housing flange. I
came up with a figure of 2.175 and need to know if it's right, and if it
varies. Am I even close with this number?
