Hello land speed racers,
My name is Dan Webster and I just got on your list. I live in Carson City,
Nevada.
I have been racing at the Bonneville Salt Flats since 1985. I started with
a chopped and channeled 1934 Ford Coupe. Number 313. It took about seven
years to breat the unblown gas flathead recore and I tried many flathead
combinations during the seven years. Blown flatheads included.
After breaking the record in the 1934 Coupe I purchased Burkland's
competition coupe and have run blown gas and fuel, and unblown gas and fuel
flatheads. Last year I tried the blown fuel flathead but it did not work
to well.
My goal now is to get into the two club. I am building a "D" motor and
will run in the unblown gas class. This if a formidable record to break.
I am coming to Bonneville on Saturday and Sunday to spectate, and hope to
see you there. Please send me your car numbers so I can find you as I do
not know who is on this list.
Keith, you have done a great job on your "D" motor and hope you run very
fast at speed week.
To all you racers that are competing at Speed Week, I hope you do well and
exceed your expectations. I hope you all get your records.
Dan Warner, could I get your e-mail address. Thanks
I also like to build Stree Rods, work on old farm machinery and mining
equipment, as well as race.
Keith, where can I get a shirt? Can I see you in the pits to get it?
Take care everone. See you at the Salt. Dan
