John,
I agree. Many of us have been racing at the Salt for a long time and
have been successful in our endeavors, but in my estimation, no one
measures up to Al in both determination and results.
I admire many of our fellow competitors, the Markleys, the Whites, the
Vescos, and so many others, but Al is one of a kind. Although there have
been several in the background that have helped him achieve his goals,
Al is the one that has made it happen. He has done it with with little
help from sponsorship and with an uncommon duo of "class and humility".
He is truly deserving!
