Hi Folks. Wanted to tell you I was able to get Comprehensive (only)
insurance for the Ardun roadster while it is in its home shop or to and
from a race meet. This is protection against fire, theft, wind, etc.
loss. If you roll your car up in a ball at a meet, of course, forget
it, no coverage applies.

The cost was modest, $150 a year for $30,000 coverage with $1000
deductible. The insurer is Condon & Skelly in New Jersey at
800-257-9496. BUT NOTE that they just got licensed to sell insurance in
Virginia, and may or may not be able to offer it in your state.

Condon & Skelly specializes in insurance for antique, collectible and
streetrod vehicles, and does the usual range of liability, etc. Some
traditional insurance companies won't touch this market. My brother is
a State Farm agent and they wouldn't give me comp on the race car, even
though I had all my other insurance with them.

Regards from ArdunBill in the Great Dismal Swamp, Chesapeake, VA
