List; At sometime ago I had an idea similar to this for a Lakester (easy to
build, store, transport and maintain plus it will not send the wrong message
like a Camaro) I thought a rear engine car with rectangular 2 X 3 tube rails
one piece no bends 100 to 130 inch wheelbase At least 3 crossmembers of the
same material. 1/8 inch steel plate under the drivers compartment, attached
to bottom of rails. Two loop 13/4 role cage attached to main frame rails with
at least 4 connector bars and 2 diagonal supports to the rear. Single loop at
front of drivers compartment connected to forward role bar with same 1 3/4 x
1/8 wall . 150 cubic inch 4 cylinder single cam 2 valve motor. OEM valves no
roller anything. Automatic trans with OEM convertor no lockup convertors. Any
non quickchange live axle rear end at stock width. Steel wheels 13 to 15
inch. A max of 2 carburetors and 4 barrels. 110 gas. Such a car should be
easy and cheap to build. Easy to maintain and look racy. My 2 cents. Rich Fox
