Thanks John,
As I said I run a direct-drive Powerglide which means I start the engine
in neutral, push off up to about fifty miles per hour, then drop it into
low gear and go. We do eat up quite a bit of the course getting into the
power range in high gear, so maybe I should try your suggestion. The
competition you are providing will surely help me make some decisions
along these lines. We purchased a new GMC "Vortex V-8 push truck the end
of last year, maybe that will help me get under way quicker. Anyway that
will be my major change for Speedweek.
John, tell me a little about the ECTA meets, distance, surface, etc.,
possibly we could plan a trip sometime in the future.
