If your going to go down that path and throw away all the parts from the =
block acquire a new head etc. why=20
don=E2=80=99t you bight the bullet and acquire both an alloy block and =
head from DMD Australia parts from the=20
Healey Factory here in Melbourne Australia contact =
www.healeyfactory.com.au I=E2=80=99m sure Robbie
Rowland and his guys would love to hear from you.

Then you would have something really special I believe there have been a =
number of the engines exported
to the USA in completed Healey Factory restorations and I=E2=80=99m sure =
the guys at the factory would be only too=20
happy to provide you with references.

Good luck whatever you decide to do. The DMD engines are pretty special=20

A westy block is identical to a later motor, the only difference is the =
head. If you want to convert, you need to get a new head. Honestly, =
for most levels or road tune, there isn't a huge amount of difference =
and one nice thing about the westy head is it is less thirsty with the =
fuel, and if I recall there isn't much penalty on torque, most of the =
penalty is over 3,000 rpm, which for a road car really doesn't matter =
much.
