I put stainless steel lines on my 1962 BT7 in 2013. I made them myself =
and as you figured out the flares are extremely difficult to form =
without a high-quality flaring tool. Especially the bubble flares. It is =
also difficult to get a good seal to the cylinder. I used copper flare =
washers to solve that issue.

I know a person that restores Jaguars. Instead of zinc plating he sends =
all the parts to a shop to have them cadmium plated. The parts that are =
normally zinc plated stay nice and shiny.
