After a second look this one appears longer than the ones used on the six c=
ylinder cars. The BN1 Has a different control cable connection, but maybe t=
hat changed on the BN2...

As it happens I do have one of these on my BN1. I had one left over from a =
BN4 I parted out so I cut a hole in the top of the drivers side footwell an=
d ran an extra air tube to the grill. No hot foot while driving, only cool =
cruising comfort (relatively that is).

I just happened to have my parts books open when your email came. The part =
in pictures looks like the air intake assembly for the LHS of the car. The =
part number is 14B7711 and I believe the same part was used on the BN4 thro=
ugh BJ8. See attached scan.

Can anybody please help with this part? It came out of my BJ8, but to me, =
it looks for all the world like it came from a BN-1/BN-2, especially as the=
flange appears to have been, er, modified? At least from what I can make =
of the drawings in the various part lists.
