Nathan, I'm a little bit late with my response, so I'll just direct it=
=0Ato you.My two cents' worth: =0A=0A=09When I and my traveling companio=
ns were returning from Conclave 2008=0Ain San Diego and we got to Missou=
ri, we discovered that the highest=0Aoctane available there was 91. Afte=
r filling up with that, both BJ8s=0Amissed and knocked and chugged until=
 we got into Tennessee and=0Arefilled with 93 octane. =0A=0A=09Recently,=
 a BJ8 owner called me to say he was in the area (300 miles=0Afrom home)=
 and his engine had begun to "click" under acceleration. He=0Athought it=
 was a timing problem and wanted me to check that. He=0Amentioned that h=
e had fueled up with non-ethanol. Around here, some=0Astations advertise=
 "non-ethanol" but they neglect to say the octane=0Awas dropped from 93=
 (with ethanol) to 91 (without). I suggested that=0Ahe forget about non-=
ethanol and go with 93. After that, during his=0Areturn home, he had no=
 more "clicking" problems. =0A=0A=09Ethanol-laced gas has its own issues=
 (as you might remember from my=0ABlack Hills narrative, I had some aggr=
avating stumbling and missing as=0AI left home, due to the bad ethanol t=
hat had been in the tank too=0Along), especially if the car isn't used m=
uch; but as long as I stick=0Awith 93 octane, at least the engine runs a=
s it should.=0A=0A=09Cheers!=0ASteve=0A=0A=09---------------------------=
