I=92ve had some success with the harder rubber compounds softening them wit=
h heat. Try 10 seconds in the microwave. May have increase the time, but it=
doesn=92t take much.

As many different solutions as there are list members. Other than finding =
the supplier that provides the soft rubber bushings, I like the idea of the=
diagonal slice. I just don't want to spend all afternoon on a job that sh=
ould take only 15 or 20 minutes to accomplish. Believe me, my head is swim=
ming from figuring out the wiring. I think I have it kind of figured out, =
but I don't know for sure if the smoke will escape the wires the first time=
I turn the key. As luck would have it, my kids ell me when I was at the p=
arts store one afternoon while working on the MGB GT a guy in a F350 Ford t=
ruck stopped at the driveway and wanted to talk about the three British car=
s I have. Turns out he lives in my housing tract and from what he says he =
worked for LUCAS back in the day. I have yet to meet him, but I could sure=
use his help. Most of my local club members are a two hour drive away. (S=
an Diego AH club) Good thing I have you guys to rely on.
