One gear drive is for the distributor. The other gear drive is for the oil p=
ump.=20
If the distributor gear drive and the oil pump gear drive are the same dia a=
nd number of teeth, then it=E2=80=99s an early cam.=20
If the oil pump gear has an additional tooth, then it=E2=80=99s a later one.=
=20
I wouldn=E2=80=99t run the earlier one in any car that regularly went past 5=
,000 rpm.=20
