There's several for sale on eBay; here's the first of several that came
up when I searched "Austin-Healey 3000 transmission for sale." The price
isn't unreasonable; you could part it out and make a profit:

I spent $300/ea for a pan and cover (and was glad to get them). I think
the cases are cast iron, which can be welded but has to be done 'just
so;' involving pre-heating and other measures. I'd always be nervous
about a welded case.
