It appears to be for a Landy Defender, which is probably why none of us
Healeyophiles recognised it.  See eBay UK listing . . .

I still cannot figure out the logic of how it might work.

I have to say that it doesn't look like it would pull the skin off a rice

Does this thing have any application to a big Healey (MkII BT7)?

Is it worth having?
