Hello Michael
For what is a very minor matter it is very interesting. Please pass on your=
findings.
I have been interested in when the hyphen went missing on the later front s=
hroud badges and think I have probably looked at most of the Mk2 Roadsters =
and Mk2 Convertibles in Australia. My conclusion is that sometime during th=
e transition from Roadster to Convertible the hyphen was deleted as most of=
the Roadsters have it, while none of the Convertibles do.
None of the aftermarket items today have the hyphen.

Ps. The BN3 has a 100 grille badge and not the 100/6 badge.

Subject: [Healeys] Early 3000 badging.
Here is one for the early 3000 owners.
I'm working on some corrections in the Concours Guidelines and trying to ge=
t confirmation of something that is stated within them.
The Guidelines state "On the BN4, the front grille flash had the number "6"=
in a circle cast into the badge following the "100". This badge may also h=
ave been used on some of the first 340 BT7/BN7s produced in 1959".
This means that some of the first 3000's would could have had 100/6 badging=
and, in the interests of accuracy, we need to have this confirmed.
When the 3000 was introduced there was a lot of razzmatazz and hoopla about=
the "new and improved" engine.
Considering this from the perspective of a buyer of a new 3000 I can only i=
magine that he/she would be incensed if the car was delivered with 100/6 ba=
dging!!
Does anyone out there have an early 3000 with original 100/6 badging?
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
