Among other numbers and letters, H 13 is stamped on a mating sump =
surface of the main block and the front and rear mating parts of the =
engine. I surmise that these numbers are similar to the body parts =
codes in that they ensure that those items are kept together during =
manufacture of the engine.

We=E2=80=99re talking about the bottom corner of the engine, nearest the =

Each letter or numeral being +/- 8mm.

Approximately like that. Don=E2=80=99t know how it=E2=80=99ll appear in =
your computers=E2=80=A6.
The =E2=80=9C2=E2=80=9D in the =E2=80=9C20=E2=80=9D, 3rd line down, is =
actually a =E2=80=9C1=E2=80=9D with a =E2=80=9C2=E2=80=9D stamped on =
top.
My car=E2=80=99s details, for cross reference, if any:-
Chassis no. HBT7 18111
Engine no. 29E/RU/H4590
Body 18,088
Production Lot 3,095
Completed, I think, 15th March =E2=80=9862

Any ideas?
(Don=E2=80=99t going tearing off to rip your sumps off to have a =
look=E2=80=A6.ain=E2=80=99t worth it!)
Thanks,
