Patrick: Mine is under the bolt head of the bottom bolt holding the heater
shut off valve to the engine block.

Subject: [Healeys] Vacuum Advance Tube
Hello
Greetings from Sydney where the temperature is a barmy 46C (114F). However
there is something comforting in that the Cricket test match between Australia
and England is proceeding.
Just cleaned and polished the narrow copper vacuum advance tube in the BN3
that goes from the rear carburettor around the back of the engine and then to
the distributor.
Bent around the tube towards the distributor is a steel clip that bolts on to
something, but my memory is failing me and the photos taken a few years back
don't show it.
Remember it is a very early six-cylinder engine. Perhaps it fastens to one of
the bolts holding the heater outlet to the cylinder head.
Can anyone help please?
Thank you
