Unless you have an overflow catch bottle on the radiator there is no sense
filling the radiator to the top of the neck (?will top up the rad?). The
expanding coolant will push the first inch or so out the rad overflow when the
temp is only 190F or so. Might as well start out with the coolant level at one
inch below the rubber sealing surface of the rad cap when coolant temp is cold.
