"Rubber" means different things these days. Hi quality natural rubber,
as used in our cars originally, will last many years. Now, rubber can
come from many sources, some better than others. In my experience, I
installed a lower windshield seal and a year later it cracked.
Installed a replacement and it has held up for 15 years. So, quality
matters; buy from knowledgeable dealers, they should know.
