Hi
And sometimes, especially on older (100/6) cars the hole for the fuel pump i=
s covered by a cast iron plate, secured by the two bolts. The more you tight=
en these bolts, to stop the oil leak, the more this plate will bend and crea=
te even more oil leakage.

a 29D engine in Bluehealey and had a similar issue. There is a cast mountin=
g pad below the generator that is intended for a mechanical fuel pump. Altho=
ugh the hole for the pump actuating arm doesn't exist the two mounting bolt h=
oles do! They are tapped as well. I put button head Allen screws into the h=
oles with copper washers to seal them.
