Thanks for the info on shipping.  I still have plenty of tread on my zXs, but
if I needed new tires, I would definitely look into the Longstone offering.

Somehow or another, Longstone ships using the UK Post, Parcel Force.

Postal shipments never go through customs.  It is the hidden agreement between
the USPS and US Customs as a competitive advantage vs FedEx or UPS.

When shipping from the UK to US, always insist on using the Royal Post.

It's been a while since I've had any large sized items shipped from the UK. 
In the past, I needed to use the services of a customs broker as well as pay
duty to clear the item.  That could reduce the savings pretty quickly.
