I have a similar fairy, but she's female and maybe that's the difference.
To present me with brown cardboard boxes containing valuable things,
sherequires a sacrificial offering in the form of a reduction in my net worth,
sometimes accompanied by several days of limited marital privileges as part of
the ritual. I have found that an accompanying voluntary offering of something
shiny placed prominently in the marital chambers in the night reduces the
length of the sacrificial ritual.
