Tank Re New is a national chain that will refurbish the original tank inside
and out for about $250. I have done 2 tanks and they both came out perfect
and have been in use for a number of years. No screen in the Healey tank
but he did mention some baffles near the gauge as I recall. Never a fit
issue when you use the originals.

We have cut open several original tanks and have not found one with a
screen on the pick up. The pick up tube comes straight down and make
a 90 degree bend and then goes under a plate attached to the bottom
of the tank.
