As long as Harbor Freight has been mentioned once again I thought I might
add a little something. Harbor Freight is my favorite "Made In China" store
closely followed by WalMart. All kidding aside. I have purchased and used
may tools and accessories over the years from them and for the most part
they have served the purpose that they were purchased for.
That said, if I have a need for a better tool I always purchase a Craftsman,
a Snap-On or one from another of the other providers of quality tools.
Now for the suggestion. I needed to move my 100-4 in the barn into a rather
tight spot. Not wanting to spend the money for a set of costly car moving
dollies, I opted for some cheap (currently on sale for $11.99 each) Mover's
Dollys that they sell. They are relatively small, 18" L x 12-1/4" W, made
of wood and are each rated for moving 1000 lb. The slot in the middle is
almost the perfect width for a tire to sit in. I placed one under each
corner of the car and they performed the moving job quite nicely. Not
knowing how they would hold up to the weight of the car for an extended
period of time, once it was in place I removed them and lowered the Healey
back down to the floor.
Here is the link if you would care to take a look.
