Robert,
You should be able to see a square surface on the back side of the pulley.
It requires a very slim wrench to reach in there and hold the square while
the hex nut is removed. On the other hand, an air impact wrench should be
able to shock/loosen the nut anyway. Another option is to hold the pulley
with a chain type vise grips in the groove of the pulley and again loosen
the nut with an air impact gun.
